KGR’s Education Law group, led by Séamus Boyce, provides effective and efficient counsel to education leaders, often advising clients on day-to-day issues and navigating clients through the Indiana Statehouse. Clients rely on us to be their legal point guard that ensures all legal needs are met and more. We work at our clients’ direction, within budgets, and at the level of activity necessary to achieve our clients’ goals and objectives. We’re there when you have a question and when you need help. While we often serve as general counsel, we tailor our services to best address client needs, providing specialized services for clients as needed and working with preferred service providers to offer advice as conflict counsel and consultations for internal investigations.
KGR provides government navigation services, specifically guiding clients through the sometimes uncertain waters of government affairs. We are uniquely situated to draw upon the substantive knowledge and relationships consistently grown and developed over many years. There are many associations and coalitions that address general membership issues. We provide a bridge for the client that would like the “presence” and personal attention to move the needle on public policy. This includes curating general relationships, addressing specific issues through legislation, and developing a long-term strategy on difference-making public policy. It could include coalition building.
In addition to providing client-specific and individualized government navigation, we offer the KGR Statehouse Counsel annual subscription service. The KGR Statehouse Counsel service includes curated opportunities to directly engage and network with the most prominent leaders on the topics directly relevant to clients. These include discussion on trending public policy issues as well as facilitated discussion with potential members of coalitions. The KGR Statehouse Counsel service also includes having KGR monitor Indiana legislative and regulatory developments directly relevant to educational entities to allow clients to be well informed to advocate for its interests.
KGR uses a team approach and have several team members who dedicate a substantial portion of their work in the education area. Séamus Boyce is the KGR partner that serves as our primary contact for overall services to education clients.
